Privacy policy

In short: this website sets no cookies, uses no tracking or analytics and loads no fonts or scripts from third-party servers. Personal data – mainly your IP address – is only processed so that the pages can be delivered and protected against attacks.

2. Scope

This policy covers the website darts-scorer.com. The Darts Scorer app for iPhone and Android has its own app privacy policy.

3. Hosting and delivery via Cloudflare

The website is delivered by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. Cloudflare runs a global network that delivers the pages quickly and protects them against overload and other attacks. Cloudflare processes data on our behalf under a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.

When you open a page, Cloudflare processes technically necessary data, in particular:

  • your IP address
  • date and time of the request
  • the page requested and the amount of data transferred
  • the previously visited page (referrer), if your browser sends it
  • browser, operating system and device type (user agent)

The purpose is to deliver the website and keep it stable and secure, for example by detecting and blocking attacks. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is a secure, fast and reliable website. We do not analyse this data ourselves, build no user profiles from it and do not combine it with other data.

Cloudflare also sends a Network Error Logging header. It lets your browser report to Cloudflare automatically when a page could not be loaded, for example because of a connection error. Successful page views are not reported. Purpose and legal basis are the same as above.

Data may be transferred to the USA. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, so an adequacy decision of the European Commission applies (Art. 45 GDPR). The data processing agreement also includes the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46 GDPR). Data is kept only as long as needed for these purposes. 4. No cookies, no tracking

We set no cookies and no similar identifiers to recognise you. There is no audience measurement, no advertising and no embedded social media content. The DM Sans font is served from our own server; no connection to Google or any other font provider is made.

5. Storage in your browser (online scorer and Bob’s 27 scorer)

The online darts scorer and the Bob’s 27 scorer on the darts training page save game settings, player names and the current game in your browser’s local storage (entries “ds-web-scorer” and “ds-web-bobs27”) so that they survive a reload. This data stays on your device and is not sent to us or anyone else. Storing it is strictly necessary for this feature you asked for (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG). Delete it by starting a new game, choosing “Restart”, or clearing this site’s data in your browser.

The checkout calculator and the average calculator run entirely in your browser. Your entries are neither stored nor transmitted.

6. Contact by email

If you email us, we process your email address and the content of your message to answer your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where it concerns the use of the app or a contract, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering). We delete messages once they are no longer needed, unless statutory retention periods apply.

7. Links to the App Store and GitHub

The download buttons lead to Apple’s App Store and to GitHub (Android version). Simply visiting this website sends no data to Apple or GitHub. Only when you click a link do these providers process data under their own responsibility; Apple’s privacy policy and the GitHub General Privacy Statement apply.

App Store links carry a campaign parameter that shows which page of this website the click came from (for example “en-website-hero”). Apple only gives us aggregated download figures from it; we cannot identify individual people. On iPhone, Safari may also show a banner for the app and fetch the app details it needs from Apple.

8. Google Search Console

We use Google Search Console to see how this website appears in Google Search. No Google code is embedded on this website, and no data is sent to Google when you visit these pages. Google only gives us aggregated figures, such as how often a page was shown or clicked in search results.

9. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20). An informal email to app@futtradingempire.com is enough.

Right to object: where we process data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR).

10. Obligation to provide data and automated decisions

You are not obliged to provide any data. Without the technical processing of your IP address, however, the website cannot be delivered. There is no automated decision-making, including profiling.

We update this policy when the website or the law changes. The version published here applies.
