Doubles

Find out which doubles cost you legs.

Most legs are lost on the double, not on the scoring. Darts Scorer records every dart at a double and shows you exactly where your finishing lets you down.

  • Hit rate per double From D1 to the bull: how often each double goes in.
  • Double-out areas Whether you finish better at the top, bottom or sides of the board.
  • Checkout rate How many of your darts at a double win the leg.
  • Heatmap Where your darts actually land around the target.
  • History Your trend for today, the last 7 or 30 days, or 3, 6 or 12 months.

On iPhone, the doubles analysis and long-term trends are part of Darts Scorer Pro. On Android everything is free.

  1. Accuracy

    Around the Clock

Hit 1 to 20 in order. Builds accuracy across the whole board.

  2. Doubles

    Bob’s 27

Start on 27 and work through the doubles from D1 to the bull.

  3. Checkouts

    121 Checkout

Check out 121 in nine darts. Do it and the target goes up by one, miss and it drops by one.

  4. Checkouts

    50 Checkout

Start on 50. Each checkout adds 10, each miss takes one off. Get past 100 to win.

  5. Doubles

    Halving Chains

Five routes where the double halves, like D20 → D10 → D5. One dart at each.

  6. Scoring

    Power Switch

Five minutes on the clock. Hit the treble and stay on it, miss and move from T20 to T19 to T18.

  7. Scoring

    Segment Master

Race to 1,000 using only the 20 and 19 segments and their neighbours.

  8. Doubles

    Double Chase

Go for the bull. Miss it, and the number you hit becomes the double you chase.

Bots

Practise against your league rival.

No one around to play? A bot gives you a real opponent and match pressure, even when you’re throwing alone.

Adaptive bot

Set to your current 3-dart average when you add it. As you improve, the next bot you add plays stronger.

Mimic bot

Plays like one of your player profiles, based on the stats the app has collected for that player: average, double hit rates and spread. If you’ve scored your league mate’s matches, you can practise against them at home.

Stats

A match report after every game.

Each match gets its own report with five views: overview, legs, timeline, scoring and finishing. Over time your numbers show whether practice is paying off.

Overview Legs Timeline Scoring Finishing
  • Skill rating one number for your current level
  • 3-dart average per match and over time
  • First 9 how strongly you start a leg
  • Darts per leg how quickly you finish
  • Scoring distribution 60+, 100+, 140+ and 180s
  • Records with your top 10 for each
  • Head-to-head your record against every opponent

Frequently asked questions

Is the app free?

On iPhone the core features are free and some features come with Darts Scorer Pro. The Android version is completely free.

What is a good darts average?

It depends on your level. Many home and pub players average somewhere between 40 and 60, league players often sit between 50 and 70, and the top professionals average over 90. The most useful number is your own trend: if your 3-dart average climbs over a few months, your practice is working.

How do I practise doubles?

Pick a practice game with pressure on the doubles, such as Bob’s 27, Halving Chains or Double Chase, and play it regularly in short sessions. In the Doubles tab the app shows your hit rate on every double, so you can see which ones need the most work.
