Divide the points you’ve scored by the number of darts thrown, then multiply by three, because a visit is three darts.
3-dart average = points ÷ darts × 3
Example
You score 1,200 points with 54 darts in a match: 1,200 ÷ 54 × 3 = 66.67. Your 3-dart average is 66.67.
What counts?
Normally every dart thrown counts, including darts at a double and busted visits, which score zero. If you finish the leg with the first or second dart of a visit, only the darts you actually threw count.
